Jim McDougall founded Outfield Technologies in 2016 where he serves as the Co-CEO, overseeing the strategy, commercial operations and, like any startup CEO, anything else that needs fielding on a given day. His vision has always been deploying new technologies to improve global food security whilst slashing chemical use and waste in the food supply chain. 

This has led Outfield, co-founded by Jim and Oliver Hilbourne, to use AI and remote sensing technology to bring data driven decision making and efficiency to global fruit production. They are revolutionizing the global fruit sector, providing a precision orchard and vineyard management system that offers growers data to inform decision making in the season. By providing key insights on orchard performance, Outfield helps growers become more efficient, more profitable, and more environmentally friendly.
