He is currently on the leadership team at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) – Cambridge University’s first spin-out – where he leads global commercial strategy for a portfolio of world-class software and data products used in drug discovery and materials science.

Jonathan earned his spurs on a non-linear path: from molecular biologist to SaaS marketplace founder, navigating the ride of a venture-backed startup to scaling global tech sales teams. He has helped businesses translate complex science into commercial success, built and led go-to-market teams, driven international expansion, and advised boards on strategic growth, M&A, and innovation.

Passionate about bridging research and impact, and uniting scientific and commercial cultures, Jonathan speaks frequently on the challenges of commercialising tech, building sustainable scientific businesses, and leading through change in mission-driven organisations.
